JAMMU, Sept 2: A woman today made an abortive attempt on her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Garhi area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the woman identified as Sonia Devi (28) wife of Sonu Lal, a resident of Garhi (Mishriwala) allegedly tried to end her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence, following which she was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where her condition was stated to be stable till the last report came in.
The concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter. However, it could not be known immediately why the woman took such extreme step.
