JAMMU, Sept 7: A woman died today after hit by a speeding bike at RS Pura, near Radha Swami Ashram.
The woman identified as Sunita Devi (45) wife of Yash Pal, resident of Kotli Shah Doula (RS Pura) was hit by the bike while on a morning walk along the road, a police official said, adding, the woman received serious injuries in the mishap.
He said the injured woman was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she passed away after some time during treatment.
“RS Pura police had registered a case under relevant sections in this connection and started investigation, while the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites after getting conducted postmortem,” the official added.
