JAMMU, Sept 24: A woman was today knocked to death by a train in Bajalta area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a woman identified as Altaf Bibi (36) wife of Nazeer, a resident of Bathindi was hit by Jammu Mail at Bajalta area of city outskirts at about 11 am today.
He said that the seriously injured woman was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she expired at 2.45 pm.
“After conducting post mortem, the body of the deceased woman was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites”, the spokesman said, adding, a case in this connection has been registered at police station GRP Jammu.
