KATRA, Feb 24: In a tragic road accident near Moori Check Post, late last night, involving an oil tanker and a Scooty, a woman died while her son sustained injuries.
The accident took place when the oil tanker, bearing registration number JK02DG- 9505 hit the Scooty JK02CA- 9499. The Scooty rider and his mother sustained serious injuries and were immediately shifted to Narayana Hospital where doctors declared the woman as brought dead.
The deceased woman was identified as Vijay Lakshmi (48), wife of Anil Magotra, resident of Jammu. The injured, Arjun Magotra, son of Anil Magotra, was given first aid at Narayana Hospital.
Meanwhile, driver of the oil tanker has been arrested, and a case has been registered in this connection at Katra Police Station.
