JAMMU, June 25: A woman was killed this evening after she fell down from a bike in Chinore area of city outskirts.
“The deceased has been identified as Teja Dhar (45) wife of Ganpat Ji Dhar, resident of Jagti (Nagrota),” a police official said, adding that the woman was travelling on a bike with her son when she accidently fell down at Durga Nagar. He said the woman received serious head injury and was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
The official said that the body was sent for postmortem while police post Chinore had taken cognizance of the matter.
