JAMMU, Mar 22: A woman died and two other persons suffered injuries after a minibus they were travelling in turned turtle in Miran Sahib area here today.
The accident happened at Simbal Morh locality of Miran Sahib area when the drivers of two vehicles were overtaking each other.
“During overtaking, one of the minibuses skidded off the road, resulting in death of one of the passengers and injuries to two others, who are being treated at Sub-District Hospital RS Pura,” police said.
Police have identified the deceased woman as Suman Devi wife of Krishan Lal of Gazipur Kullian, RS Pura and the injured as Somnath son of Buti Ram of Khyber Basti and Pashi Devi wife of Krishan Lal of Chakrohi, Suchetgarh, Rs Pura Jammu. While a case under the relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station RS Pura police have started further investigation into the matter.
