JAMMU, Aug 5: Police today arrested a woman bootlegger and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor pouches from her possession outside Katra Railway Station.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Katra police station intercepted a woman on suspicious grounds of carrying illicit liquor pouches outside Railway Station Katra.
During checking, police recovered 53 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the woman bootlegger, who has been identified as Gita, wife of Ram Lal of Bilaspur, Chattisgarh, at present Katra.
A case under FIR number 148/14 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and investigation started.
