RAMBAN, July 20: A young woman was found murdered at her rented accommodation in Parnote area of the district today.
Police spokesman said that deceased Sunita Devi, wife of Churu Ram was residing in the rented accommodation of one Rakesh Kumar in Kanga area of Parnote under the jurisdiction of Ramban Police Station during the past several years.
During the past few months, the couple was found frequently quarreling over some unknown issues and sometimes even Rakesh Kumar, landlord of the house had to intervene. Today, Rakesh Kumar became suspicious when she found room of couple locked for a considerable period of time.
He broke open the door of the room and found Sunita Devi in a pool of blood. Even a hammer was also found near her body. Rakesh Kumar immediately informed Ramban Police and later the body of woman was shifted to District Hospital for post-mortem.
The husband of the deceased is reportedly missing since yesterday and police has launched hunt to nab him as his involvement in the murder is being suspected by the police.
