JAMMU, Sept 9: Police here in Narwal area claimed today that they have arrested a woman drug peddler and recovered 2.5 Kg of the Ganja from his possession.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Post Narwal led by SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari assisted by SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Shiv Dev Singh and incharge police post Narwal, SI Lalit Sharma while on patrolling duty near Rajiv Nagar area rounded up a suspected person.
On searching the suspect, he said, the police team recovered 2.5 Kg of the Ganja from his possession.
Police have identified the accused as Rubi daughter of Rajiv Nagar.
The accused has been booked in case FIR number 269/2023 under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and further investigation taken up.
