RAJOURI, Aug 1: A woman died due to lightning in Budhal area of district Rajouri today while an old temple was partially damaged in yet another similar incident near Cremation Ground here.
Reports said 70-year-old Krishna Devi, widow of Dhani Ram, resident of Kewal Seri village near Budhal was hit by a strong beam of light from the sky this afternoon. She was standing on the roof top of her Kutch house when the mishap occurred. The poor woman was killed on the spot.
Another report said that a small old temple near Cremation Ground, Jogi Gate in Jammu was hit by a strong beam of light today and suffered minor damage. No loss of life was reported.
