Srinagar, July 6: A 25-year-old woman died due of cloudburst in a forest area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district today while in Shopian district it washed away several small wooden bridges and damaged water supply schemes.
Aisha Bano, daughter of Abdullah Gujri of Doodh Marg Tral was found unconscious in the nearby forest area adjacent to her house this morning.
The locals of the area immediately shifted her to nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. The cause of death is believed to be cloudburst that took place in the forest area near her house.
The cloud burst also took place in South Kashmir’s Shopian district’s Bariwali
Area of Herpora forests washing away several foot bridges and damaged Water Supply Schemes in the area.
The cloud burst took place at Bariwali in Herpora forest area of Shopian and washed away several foot bridges constructed by locals of the area on Kaw Khul stream.
The cloud burst also washed away the pipes leading to the water supply schemes of villages of Padpawan, Chogam, Herpora Chotipora, Bohri Alam, Amshipora and Shamsipora.
