JAMMU, July 4: A woman died of COVID-19 while 28 persons tested positive in Jammu region today and 30 in Kashmir. The UT of Ladakh logged 49 fresh cases.
An 80-year-old woman hailing from Ward No. 4 in Kathua died of ailments and COVID-19 at home taking Corona toll in Kathua district to 167 and that of Jammu division to 2332.
Among 28 new cases in Jammu division, 18 were registered in Jammu district, six in Kathua, three Udhampur and one in Rajouri.
Jammu and Kashmir now has 577 active positive cases including 386 in Jammu division and 191 in Kashmir. Jammu district has highest number of 319 active cases.
The UT of Ladakh recorded 49 active positive cases, all in Leh district.
Ladakh has 150 active cases, all of which were in Leh while Kargil is Corona-free.
