JAMMU, Aug 1: A woman died today while her two children are serious due to alleged poisoning in Bishnah area of city outskirts.
“Sheetal wife of Khem Raj, resident of Morchapur and her two children, one of 6-month-old and other of 2 years, were found unconscious at their residence”, a police official said.
He said the woman along with two children were rushed to Bishnah Hospital but in view of their serious condition, they were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where the woman was declared as dead by the doctors. “The condition of children is serious”, he added.
“The body of the deceased woman was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital while Bishnah police had taken cognizance of the matter”, the official said, adding whether it was a suicide case or food poisoning is a matter of investigation.
