KATHUA, Sept 25: A woman was badly crushed to death under a bus at Mala-Dhaloti Morh in district Kathua today.
The deceased was identified as 40-year-old, Sneh Lata, wife of Ram Pal, a Police personnel posted in Ramban. Ram Pal had come to his home at Mela village in Hiranagar. He and his wife were going to meet their relatives at Mala Dhaloti.
At their stop, Ram Pal boarded off the bus, followed by his wife. Lata’s `chunni’ got trapped in door and bus started moving. In the process, her `Dupatta’ became the noose around her neck and she fell down. The rear wheels of the bus over ran the lady and she was crushed to death on the spot. The police seized the bus and arrested its driver. The body was shifted to Kathua hospital for postmortem.
