JAMMU, Aug 23: A woman pedestrian was crushed to death today by a minibus in New Plot area.
According to a police official, the deceased has been identified as Neena (66) wife of Hans Raj, resident of House No 207, Jawahar Nagar, New Plot. He said the woman was killed on the spot this afternoon when she was ran over by a mini-bus bearing registration number JK02AD-6754 at Roren Wali Chhapri in New Plot area.
“After postmortem at Government Medical College and Hospital, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites while a case was registered in this connection at concerned police station and efforts were on to nab the accused driver of the mini-bus, which is at large,” the official added.
