JAMMU, Jan 21: A female migrant labourer allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her temporary residence near Langate morh in Kathua district.
According to a police spokesperson the deceased identified as Pardarshni (30) wife of Parmeshwar, a resident of Chhatisgarh (at present Langate morh, Kathua) was referred late evening to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu from District Hospital Kathua after she consumed some poisonous substance.
After battling for life for nearly 24 hours, she expired this evening. The body of the deceased lady has been shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for post mortem and other legal formalities.
