UDHAMPUR, Oct 20: A woman committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at village Galard, Kawa of the district.
As per reports, a woman Darshana Devi, wife of Puran Chand of Galard, at present Jandrah, was spotted unconscious by the people near cremation ground, who informed the police.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the woman to district hospital, where doctors declared her as brought dead.
The woman was under depression after the death of her son last year, which may be the reason behind such extreme step.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered and investigation started to ascertain the exact reason for such extreme step.
