JAMMU, Sept 5: A woman today sustained burning injuries in a kitchen fire at her residence here in Jourian area of city outskirts.
A police spokesperson said that an old woman identified as Krishna Devi (70) wife of late Dewan Chand, resident of Muthi Mera (Jourian) received about 30% burn injuries when a fire broke out in the kitchen of her house due to leakage of cooking gas.
He said the woman was immediately shifted by the family members to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where her condition was stated to be stable.
A case in this regard has been registered at concerned police station and further investigations are on.
