Woman arrested in abetment to suicide case

JAMMU, Dec 4: Bishnah Police arrested woman in abetment to suicide case of her daughter-in-law.
As per police sources, on January 31, 2019, a woman namely Ruchi, wife of Sandeep Kumar, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, at present Shahpur Tehsil Bishnah allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites and inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC was initiated by Bishnah Police.
During the course of investigation, Qmar Paul Singh, son of Sohan Paul Singh of Nagala Kesh Ria Tehsil Garore District Main Puri Uttar Pradesh gave statement before Investigation Officer that her daughter has been forced to commit suicide by her husband Sandeep Kumar, son of Subash Singh, Subash Singh, son of Jai Singh (father-in-law) and Gudi Devi, wife of Subash Singh (mother-in-law), all residents of Nardoli Kashgang, Uttar Pradesh and accordingly, a case under FIR Number 143/2021 under Section 306 IPC was registered at Police Station Bishnah and further investigation started.
During further course of investigation, a team from Police Station Bishnah led by PSI Masqoor Ahmed and assisted by Selection Grade Woman Constable Gurmeet Kour and Constable Rajan Singh under the supervision of SHO Bishnah Inspector Joginder Singh and SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan was sent to Uttar Pradesh for the arrest of accused.
The team arrested mother-in-law of the victim identified as Gudi Devi, wife of Subash Singh of Nardoli Kashgang Uttar Pradesh and brought her to Jammu after taking transit remand.
However, hunt continues to arrest the husband and father-in-law of the victim.
