With increasing membership, BJP is set to increase votes, seats: Chugh

JAMMU, Nov 29: Tarun Chugh, national general secretary, BJP and party Prabhari for J&K and Ladakh UTs today asked the party leaders to carry the membership drive as a comprehensive campaign which will engage everyone, from top leadership to booth-level workers, and will offer every segment of society the opportunity to connect with the BJP.
He was addressing a review meeting of Sangathan Parv at party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
He was accompanied by Sat Sharma, president, J&K BJP, Dr. Nirmal and Kavinder Gupta, former Dy CM, Shamsher Singh Manhas, former MP, Sunil Sharma, general secretary and Leader of Opposition, Dr. Narinder Singh, national secretary & MLA, Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, general secretary and MLA, Vibodh Gupta, general secretary, Priya Sethi, former Minister, Munish Khajuria, convenor Sadasyata Abhiyan (membership drive).
J&K BJP State office bearers, district prabharis, district presidents, Morcha presidents, Cell Incharges, district Incharges of Sadasyata Abhiyan and others participated in the meeting.
Tarun Chugh, while addressing the review meeting, discussed in detail the ongoing membership drive in Jammu & Kashmir. He said that guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s principle of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ party’s membership derive promises to be an inclusive initiative that will ensure greater participation of people in the party’s framework and hence policy making for the greater development of the nation and the betterment of its people.
Tarun Chugh further said that in the recently held Assembly elections in the Jammu & Kashmir, the party has become the number one party in terms of votes and the people have expressed the faith in the party from around the region. Prompting the party leaders to put their whole effort in the ongoing membership drive, he said that with the ever-increasing membership of the party, the BJP is set to increase its ‘votes and seats’ share in every election in future.
“BJP not only preaches, but believes, and practices democracy, which is evident by the membership drive and the subsequent internal elections to elect the national president in the process that initiates from the bottom step of booth president.”
Sat Sharma, in his address, said that the BJP is a people-oriented party which is run by the dedicated party workers. He stressed that the party has ensured its reach to every region with the consistent hard work of its workers and now expanded to become the prime force in the national politics with our consistent effort to connect to every citizen of country. He asked the party workers to put their maximum in the ongoing membership drive to ensure the presence of BJP worker in every house in Jammu & Kashmir.
Sunil Sharma presented the vote of thanks and assured the senior party leaders that the elected MLAs of the party will put more effort to speed up the ongoing membership drive of the party in their respective constituencies.
Priya Sethi conducted the proceedings and said that the party workers are enthusiastically engaged in the ongoing membership drive of the party.
