‘Will observe black day on Jan 26 if casual workers not regularized’

JAMMU, Jan 15: All Departmental Casual Labour United Front here today staged a protest demonstration demanding regularization of casual employees working in different government departments.
The protesters said that the government should regularize the casual employees by January 25 else they will observe January 26 as black day.
In a handout Front claimed that they had met the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha on November 11 in the presence of BJP J&K president, Ravinder Raina and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and discussed their demand of regularization.
Front claimed that the LG had assured that a committee will be framed after DDC elections to look into the issue of casual workers but nothing has been done so far.
The protesters claimed that their human rights are being violated by not regularizing their services and the Government is violating labour laws too in this case.
Rajan Sharma, Akhil Sharma, Parshotam Lal, Ajay Sharma, Basant Singh, Narinder Kumar, Mukhtar Wani, Mohan Lal Sharma, Jyoti Parkash, Bhanu Partap Singh, Ravi Hans and others were also present in the protest demonstration.
