Sir,
It is a matter of great satisfaction, belief and hope that a good number of vacancies, in different State, Divisional and District cadre are being advertised by the J&K Services Selection Board for providing opportunities for the educated unemployed in order to earn their bread and butter. Candidates belonging to a particular region and district are restricted to apply for the desired vacancy in the area to which he or she belongs to.
But the present policy adopted for SC candidates does not restrict them to apply within their own district but one is at liberty to apply from any district irrespective of their Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs). This sort of open recruitment policy adopted only for SC candidates in our State is a step motherly treatment. SC candidates have to complete with a huge chunk of candidates and this has created a great resentment amongst them. When there is no such bar for other reserved categories then why this sort of discrimination with our SC candidate?
SSB authorities and other administrative heads are earnestly urged to review such type of discrepancies with SC candidates in times to come.
Yours etc….
