JAMMU, Nov 9: A wreath laying ceremony was organised in the honour of brave martyrs- Naik Prem Singh and Naik Harindra Kumar Yadav, who laid down their life guarding the  frontiers of the nation while serving at the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector the other day.
The ceremonial military send off was held at Rajouri Garrison today. General Officer Comma-nding, Uniform Force laid a wreath on behalf of Lieutenant General AK Sharma, General Officer Commanding, White Knight Corps and all ranks. The mortal remains of martyred soldiers are being sent to their native villages for performing the last rites.
Naik Prem Singh (26), is survived by his wife and other family members. The soldier hailed from village Shahar, in tehsil Bayatu, district Barmer, Rajasthan. The other martyr, Naik Harindra Kumar Yadav (30), is  survived by his wife, Gyanti and three  children. Naik Yadav hailed from Ballia district in Uttar Pradesh.
The martyrs were dedicated, brave and sincere soldiers. The nation will remain indebted to them for their supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty. They will continue to motivate the future generations of the country, a Defence spokesman said.
