*98.3 Mirchi launches Jammu’s youngest RJ

JAMMU, July 20: Wheelocity Motors Private Limited, authorized dealership for Skoda India located at Channi Himmat in Jammu unveiled their new SUV ‘Skoda Kushaq’ in the presence of a galaxy of guests including Advocate Purnima Sharma (Deputy Mayor, JMC) and SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli.
On the occasion, the team of 98.3 Mirchi Jammu, which was also present there, launched their newest and Jammu’s youngest RJ, Mirchi Simran. The occasion was also graced by SP South Deepak Dhingra, Arun Gupta (president, Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Jammu). Daughter of Jammu Mirchi Shwetima (Programming Head, Mirchi), Sumit Kakkar (Cluster Head, Mirchi), bankers, Skoda users, and staff of the dealership including Atul Abrol, Gurminder Singh, Mudser Nabi Sheikh and Munish Khajuria were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Atul Abrol said, “The new Skoda Kushaq is available at Jammu at a starting price of Rs 10.49 lakh. It features some sharp lines and prominent creases along the body like large wrap-around LED tail-lights, faux diffuser element on the bumper and a roof-mounted spoiler. Coming to the kit on offer, the top-spec Style trim gets a large 10-inch touch screen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, connected-car tech, leatherette seats, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, touch sensitive buttons for the climate control, in-car Wi-Fi, wireless charger, and a sunroof, to name a few”.
“Powering the Kushaq is a pair of turbo-petrol engines. The first is a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder TSI unit that produces 115hp and 178Nm, and the other is a larger 1.5-litre, four-cylinder TSI unit that develops a 150hp and 250Nm. Skoda claims the 1.0 TSI version of the Kushaq can do the 0-100kph sprint in 10.6sec in manual form and 11.7sec in automatic gearbox guise,” he further informed.
Meanwhile, the 98.3 Mirchi Jammu launched newest and Jammu’s youngest RJ, Mirchi Simran, who is a final year B Voc student of Central university of Jammu. With her new show ‘Happy afternoons with Jammu ki dhadkan – Mirchi Simran’, she aims to unwind the Jammuites and make their afternoons merrier featuring contests, Bollywood and college gossips, Simran ka mad update, fun games, fun facts, confessions along with a host of interactive and engaging activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Sumit Kakkar talked about how the Team Mirchi always plan to give the people of Jammu city, experiences to remember and making sure that everyone in the city has something exciting to look up to while Mirchi Shwetima assured that Mirchi shall forever keep its promise to help the artists and talent of Jammu grow.
SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli, while speaking, gave the message of being passionate and staying away from drugs.
