Wheat, rice basmati ease on reduced offtake

NEW DELHI, Nov 30:  Wheat and rice basmati prices drifted on the wholesale grains market today on reduced offtake by flour mills and stockists against adequate stocks position.
Traders said reduced offtake by flour mills and stockists against adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on wheat and rice basmati prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) fell by Rs 25 to Rs 1,655-1,660 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower by 30 to Rs 1,660-1,670 per 90 kg.
Atta flour mills, maida and sooji were also eased to Rs 920-940, Rs 980-1,020 and Rs 1,030-1,040 against last close of Rs 940-950, Rs 990-1,030 and Rs 1,040-1,060 per 50 kg, respectively in line with a weak trend in wheat.
In the rice section, rice basmati common and Pusa-1121 variety eased to Rs 8,700-8,900 and Rs 8,000-8,800 against last close of Rs 8,800-9,200 and Rs 8,400-9,100 per quintal, respectively.

Wheat MP (deshi) 2,070-2,270, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,655-1,660, Chakki atta (delivery) 1,660-1,670 Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 220, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 220, Roller flour mill 920-940 (50 kg), Maida 980-1020 (50 kg) and Sooji 1,030-1,040 (50kg).
Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 10,400, Shri Lal Mahal 10,000, Super Basmati Rice, 9,500, Basmati common new 8,700-8,900, Rice Pusa-(1121) new 8,000-8,800, Permal raw 2,275-2,350, Permal wand 2,400-2,500, Sela 3,250-3,300 and Rice IR-8- 2,000-2,025, Bajra 1,230-1,235, Jowar yellow 1,400-1,450, white 2,300-2,500, Maize 1,420-1,425, Barley 1,360-1,365, Rajasthan 1,080-1,090.
