KATHUA, Apr 27: Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Rahul Pandey, BSF Officer, Chander Shekhar, CEO Agriculture, Sanjeev Rai accompanied by border farmers inaugurated the wheat harvesting on Zero Line of Indo-Pak International Border in Hiranagar sector of Kathua districts.
After restoration of peace on International Border, the better results have come and border farmers are very glad to see the high yield of wheat crop which is cultivated in 251 Acres of land across the fence on Zero Line.

Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Rahul Pandey said that these are the results of UT administration with Agriculture Department that after long span of 22 years the cultivation was started on 100 acres which has now exceeded to 251 acres. The process will continue to cover the left out area under cultivation.
Sanjeev Rai Gupta, Chief Agriculture Officer, Kathua said that total of 251 acres of land was brought under wheat cultivation during year Rabi 2022-23 along International Border with participation of 66 local farmers from various villages of the border in comparison to 141 acres of area sown during Rabi 2021-22 with participation of 36 farmers from border villages.
