NEW DELHI, Mar 6:Wheat prices eased by 0.34 per cent to Rs 1,770 per quintal in futures market today as speculators cut exposure on account of sufficient stocks at spot markets on higher supplies.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, wheat for delivery in March declined by Rs 6, or 0.34 per cent to Rs 1,770 per quintal with an open interest of 6,600 lots.
Market analysts said offloading of positions by traders, triggered by adequate stocks on increased arrivals from producing belts in the physical market against low demand, led to decline in wheat prices at futures trade. (PTI)
