SAMBA, May 3: Standing wheat crop on 60 kanals of land belonging to three farmers was destroyed in fire that was caused due to short circuit of killer lines in village Chak Babral in Ramgarh sector of Samba district today.
According to reports wheat crop on 32 kanals of land belonging to one Uttam Singh, 16 kanals belonging to Bashir Singh and 12 kanals belonging to Preetam Singh was destroyed today after the crop was engulfed by the fire caused due to short circuit in village Chak Babral in Ramgarh sector of Samba district today.
It may be recalled that Excelsior has recently published a story about the killer lines running over the agriculture land in the area with people expressing apprehensions that they can cause any eventuality due to short circuit at any time and damage the standing Rabi and Kharif crops.
