Srinagar, May 29 : Heavy rains lashed Kashmir this afternoon with the weatherman forecasting more rains till June 2.
Kashmir was lashed by heavy rains this afternoon, bringing down the temperature.
There were heavy rains in several parts of Kashmir this afternoon leading to waterlogging and traffic jams.
Director Meteorological department (MeT), Sonum Lotus said that there is a possibility of intermittent light to moderate rain, and thunderstorms towards late afternoon, evening at many places tomorrow.
He further said that there is no forecast of major rainfall till June 2. However, he informed that as per the forecast, the intermittent light to moderate rain thunder, lightning with possibility of hailstorm and gusty winds at scattered places will take place till June 2.
Lotus further said that the weather would remain mainly dry from June 3-6.
The MeT Director advised the farmers to postpone farm operations like spraying, harvesting of crops till June 2.
