Wet outfield delays start of play on Day 4

BENGALURU : The start of the fourth day’s play in the second India-South Africa cricket Test has been delayed further due to a wet outfield here today.
Two days of the match have been lost to rain and the umpires will inspect the ground at 1pm to take a call on the fourth day at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Despite being a rain-free day so far, umpires decided against resuming the match after two inspections in the morning.
Replying to South Africa’s 214 all out, India had ended the opening day at 80 for no loss. The second and third day were washed off due to consistent rains.
Shikhar Dhawan (45) and Murali Vijay (28) will resume India’s first innings whenever play begins. (PTI)
