Welcome JKAP

Sir,
The formation of Jammu Kashmir Apni Party is welcomed and it is hoped that JKAP, a party born in 21st century, will be a party with a difference responding to the realities of the 21st century.
It should let the old inter regional, inter religion and memories of 1947 be buried. The demand of the times is to put contentious political issues on the back burner and improve the quality of life of citizens of the UT.
The new party should think of the UT as a whole and not in terms of regions and religion. It is a tall order for a party that may be soon engulfed by party hoppers and those who will be eager to jump on its bandwagon. It is only possible if the new party does not have merely elections as its top priority. The new party is urged to do some out of the box thinking that will bring a ray of hope to the people of the UT.
The JKAP may think of putting 5 valley persons in Jammu Division Hindu majority constituencies and likewise 5 Jammu Hindus in the valley constituencies. Also two Hindus from Jammu in Muslim majority constituencies of the Jammu division and likewise 2 Jammu Muslims in Hindu Majority constituencies of the Jammu division. It is emphasized that even if these candidates may not have any chance to win, it will send a strong message and may become the ray of hope that Gandhi saw in Kashmir in 1947.
This will be a paradigm shift in politics not only in Jammu Kashmir but in the rest of India at large.
