JAMMU, May 25: Week long course organised for directly appointed District and Sessions Judges by Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) concluded today.
During the course, SKPA arranged intellectually and professionally outstanding speakers from within and outside the State to deliver lectures and hold deliberation with the judicial officers. Those who visited the Academy during this prestigious course included SM Sahai ADG, Armed/IRP, SK Singh,IG (investigation) NIA, HK Lohia, Director SSG, Garib Dass, DIG, Doda-Ramban range, Baldev Manhas, Ex Director Prosecution, Shahid Iqbal, DC Reasi, Atul Goel, SSP Kathua, Mubassir Latifi, SP Rajouri, etc.
The inaugural address was delivered by SM Sahai in which he discussed the difficulties and loopholes in the administration of criminal justice and emphasized that only pro-active judiciary can give justice to the victims of crime who are otherwise overlooked by the administrators of justice very often.
HK Lohia shared his in-depth knowledge and research about the working of the system, its maladies and remedies.
SK Singh delivered impressive talk on investigation of blast cases and terror related cases by NIA throughout India.
Highly valuable lectures on cyber crime investigation, PAIRVI, mobile phone and its utility in investigation, fidayeen attacks and maintenance of peace etc. were delivered by Garib Dass, Baldev Singh Manhas, Shahid Iqbal, Atul Goel and Mubassir Latifi.
Director Academy Farooq Khan in his valedictory address painted a vivid picture of the working of criminal justice in society and proposed remedial measures for the stakeholders of justice.
District and Sessions Judges while giving their feedback expressed great satisfaction about the content and quality of the course.
