JAMMU, June 28: Under its ‘Mental Health cum De-addiction Program’ initiative, J&K Innovative Foundation for Transforming Society (JKIFTS) on Monday conducted a webinar on ‘Drug Addiction and Illicit Trafficking’.
The webinar was hosted and anchored by Founder cum Director JKIFTS, Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo and moderated by Mohammad Taha Fayaz, senior member of JKIFTS.
Dr Tasaduk Itoo while speaking on the occasion said that drug addiction is emerging as a serious menace in the society with increasing incidence on daily basis especially among youth which is unfortunately a sad state of affairs.
Raashid Ul Nabi Khan, senior member of JKIFTS said every sector of the society has a role to play in countering the menace of drug addiction and illicit trafficking.
Hilal Ahmad, member of JKIFTS put thorough emphasis on various factors responsible for drug addiction including social, environmental, psychological etc.
Mushtaque B Barq, Coordinator of JKIFTS stressed on the philosophical dimension of drug addiction.
Syed Mohsin Attiq and Mohammad Taha Fayaz also spoke on the occasion.
The webinar concluded with vote of thanks by the Founder of JKIFTS.
