Wave against UPA: Rangil

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Apr 8: Senior leader of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and former Minister, S Rangil Singh while interacting with the people of different walks of life in Jammu today reiterated that there is a wave against the UPA Government throughout the country as well as against Coalition Government in the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said, the people of the State especially hailing from Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi and Jammu districts are ready to teach those parties a lesson which have brazenly stood exposed for their hollow claims.
The PDP leader said that the party candidate Yashpal Sharma is a dedicated and selfless refugee leader and son of the soil who has a nerve to project the problems in the Parliament.
Referring to the bitter nostalgia of the partition of the country in 1947, Mr Singh reminded that thousands of families were forced to migrate to Indian side leaving behind their homes, hearths, orchards and agriculture lands and these refugee families later shifted in different camps and localities in Jammu.
Mr Singh said that these families are still unsettled and being exploited by a number of vested interests, adding that the PDP candidate Yashpal Sharma is the best choice for the people of the constituency for seeking one time settlement of the refugee imbroglio.
The PDP leader whole heartedly complimented the role of Gujjar and Bakarwal communities and said that only a local person can highlight the pains and suffering and demands of this community adding that the burning problems of remote and far flung mountainous area like Loran,  Mandi Hill Kaka, Darhal, Budhal, Kotranka, and areas along LoC can only be projected for solution by a person like Yashpal Sharma, who has become a part and parcel of the extensive Lok Sabha Constituency.
Referring to the all-round development of the region, Mr Singh stated that at one stage Jammu-Poonch Railway Link was okayed for surveillance, but due to unknown reasons it has been shelved, adding that the Jammu-Poonch constituency has a vital scope of tourism development.
