JAMMU, June 12: The convener Vishwa Hindu Conference and head of Mata Kheer Bhawani Committee,Kiran Wattal along with his team held a meeting with D D C Ramban for making arrangements for this years Mata Kheer Bhawani Yatra enroute to holy shrine.
Wattal stressed on proper arrangements be made for the pilgrims enroute and langers being organized by the social and religious bodies must be given full cooperation by the administration.
Wattal said that the mela will commence from June 18 and a team of the Kheer Bhawani Yatra Committee led by him visited the Valley, taking review of the arrangements and holding productive dialogues with the Advisor to the CM, Chief Secretary, Tourism Secretary and the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir.
He said thereafter, many additional provisions were made available for the construction of a separate toilet block & laying of sewerage pipes etc at the holy shrine for facility of yatris.
He disclosed that a novel feature of this year’s yatra is the light and sound show to be presented by Kuldeep Sapru and the artists of Jammu.
Appealing to the aesthetic and cultural sensibilities of all visitors, would be a musical narration of the legend of Mata Kheerbhawani, who made the tranquil place at Tulmul her holy abode.
He said in this regard a delegation of Mata Kheer Bhawani Yatra Committee, had already held a meeting with Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti in presence of Advisor to CM Amitabh Matttoo who had issued directives to concerned departments to make proper arrangements for this year’s yatra.
