JAMMU, July 26: An online meeting of Water Testing Laboratory Employees Association Jal Shakti was held here today under the chairmanship of Association president, Yashbir Singh.
Speakers in the meeting demanded regularization of all the laboratory staff.
They further demanded that shortage of staff in the laboratories should be fulfilled and said that as per norms a water testing laboratory must have a manpower of eight but most of the laboratories in Jammu province are working with a manpower of only two or three.
Demand of UT level water testing laboratory was also raised so that all other labs can function under a single head called Chief Chemist as per Uniform Drinking Water Protocol-2020.
Akhil Gupta, Abdul Guffar, Rahul Verma, Amit Bandral and others were also present in the meeting.
