JAMMU, June 4: The inhabitants of Shanti Nagar Tope are facing acute scarcity of drinking water for last 15 days. The residents said despite repeated pleas to the concerned officers no attention was paid to restore the water supply in the area.
They said sweltering heat of summer coupled with water scarcity has led to the problems of people manifold.
Meanwhile, BJP leader P N Pandita has urged the PHE authorities to take immediate steps in restoring the regular water supply to the area failing which the people will come to streets.
