JAMMU, Mar 30: Lok Janshakti Ramvilas Party said that real development is not possible if the poor masses are unhappy.
Addressing a press conference, Rafiq Malik J&K President of the party said that real development is possible only when the masses are happy.
He said that on one had Government is claiming development but in true sense people are worried with huge pending bills of water and electricity.
Malik said that few years back Lok Janshakti held massive protest in favour of people demand but Government failed to redress the demands.
“Waive off electricity and water bills of the people”, he demanded and appealed to the Lt Governor administration to announce one time relaxation for the people.
Malik also raised issue of daily wagers and said that if Punjab can regularize the workers why not Jammu and Kashmir administration.
On the occasion, Mehraj Ud Din Sheikh also joined the party. He was appointed as District President Baramulla.
Among others present were Mulkh Raj UT Secretary, Mahraj Krishan Bhat UT President Migrant Cell, Shakeel Ahmad Dar District President Pulwama and Ajay Raina UT Secretary Labour cell.
