JAMMU, Oct 4: All J&K RTC Voluntarily Retired Employees Association (J&K), has reiterated its demand of releasing pending COLA, DA and other arrears of the VRS given workers.
Talking to media-persons after protest at Hari Singh Park here today, these aggrieved VRS given employees of JKRTC disclosed that Government constituted Board Committee of JKRTC to resolve pending issues of VRS given J&K Road Transport employees. They strongly criticized adamant behavior of committee members under MD RTC and alleged that instead of resolving issue of employees, they started harassing them.
Dev Raj Bali, president of the Association alleged that Committee members have been misusing their powers and have projected wrong picture before the UT Administration. They seems to be in no mood to resolve the issue. They are just creating more confusion with regard to the arrears of the VRS given employees of the JKRTC. Bali demanded that Central Government should hold inquiry into the role of this committee.
Bali condemned the negative attitude of the committee and urged the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to issue necessary directions to the members to hold Board meeting and resolve the pending issues of VRS accorded employees with regard to COLA arrears from June 1999 to Dec 31, 2005; 6th Pay Commission arrears from Ist Jan 2006 to March 2012 and release of DA arrears from April 2012 to March 2021.
The protest demonstration was attended by Sat Bhushan Singh, Surinder Singh, Ram Pal, G S Tohra and R P Singh besides others.
