VRS employees of SRTC to protest on their demands

JAMMU, Aug 19: A meeting of the All J&K SRTC Volunteer Retired Employees Association was held here today under the chairmanship of its president Dev Raj Bali for highlighting grievance of the VRS employees and chalk out further strategy over their demand.
The meet unanimously decided to hold a demonstration against the Transport authorities on August 22 and appealed all the VRS employees to take part in the proposed protest near Press Club at 10 a.m.
These VRS employees are demanding release of 6th Pay Commission arrears, COLA arrears and pension benefits.
The meeting was attended by Balwinder Singh, Surinder Singh, Prem Nath, J D Singh, B B Sharma, Gulshan Singh, Dwarka Nath and others.
