Vrinda creates history, bags 2nd spot in ‘Sabse Bada Kalakaar’

JAMMU, July 10: Creating history for being the first young artist of the State of Jammu and Kashmir who with the magic of her brilliance reached to the top of a national show, Natrang’s proud artist Vrinda Gujral brought laurels to the State by scoring 1st runner-up position in the popular TV show ‘Sabse Bada Kalakaar’, the grand finale of which concluded in Mumbai, yesterday.
Informing this, her guru and mentor Natrang Director, Balwant Thakur said that Jammu awaits a huge reception for wonder girl Vrinda, who kept the State Flag high at the prestigious National scene.
He said, Natrang has planned to hold a show on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu at 5 pm to formally felicitate Vrinda.
In addition to the showcasing of the screenings of her selected performances, the show will also include the presentation of the play ‘Aap Hamaare Hain Kaun’ written and directed by Balwant Thakur  in which Vrinda has played an important role.
For Vrinda it was a tough journey to vie for top honours of the country. Her journey in this country’s toughest Acting Contest started around six months back when she was selected for the TV round for the channel Sony TV from amongst 50,000 contestants who appeared for the auditions.
Later she made it to the top ten and finally top five of the country.
In almost over 30 appearances, she has already won best performer of the week award consecutively for five times.
Born to Ashu and Manish Gujral Vrinda started her acting career from Natrang’s children theatre workshops and later got selected for Natrang’s blockbusters like ‘Mere Hisse Ki Dhoop Kahan Hai’ and ‘Aap Hamare Hain Kaun’ both written and directed by Balwant Thakur.
Selected from amongst 50,000 talented young actors hailing from all parts of the country, Vrinda Gujral brought this pride moment for the city of temples with her most outstanding hold over histrionics.
Complimenting the entire Natrang team and the parents of Vrinda, Natrang Director Padamshree Balwant Thakur credited the highly professional Natrang trainers particularly Neeraj Kant, Sumeet Sharma, and Aarushi Thakur who have been highly instrumental behind this rarest achievement of Jammu’s young artist.
Vrinda has already won accolades for her outstanding performances in various National Theatre Festivals held in Chandigarh, Delhi, Amritsar, Jallandhar and Bhopal.
