Voter forms for migrants demanded

JAMMU, Mar 8: A meeting of relief holders was held at Jagti township near here, today in which various issues concerning displaced people from Valley were discussed.
As per a release, the meeting expressed concern over failure of the authorities to dispatch the voter cards and election forms from different places of Valley in the camp and other non camp localities.
It said the migrants from the areas of Wachi, Shopian, Pulwama, Shahoona Block, Baramulla, Langate, Handwara, Kherman and Wanpoh etc have not received the forms so far.
It in an appeal to Chief Election Commissioner urged him to ensure that migrants to receive voter forms as well as I Cards in time so that they can exercise their franchise.
The meeting was addressed by Ajay Bhat and Sunil Pandita of India Against Corruption.
