JAMMU, Nov 2: MLA Vijaypur and senior vice-president National Conference (NC), Surjeet Singh Slathia today appealed the people to vote NC for peace, prosperity and development of all the three regions of State.
While addressing a series of election meetings in Ramgarh, Thlori, Yogpur, Jakh Chandla, Makorewali, Meen Sarkar and Jakh Channi in Vijaypur constituency, Slathia said NC is the only party which can guard the honour of the people of J&K.
Alleging that NC is committed to overall development of all the three regions of the State especially backward, remote and border areas, he asked the people to strengthen the hands of young and dynamic Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and vote his party candidate from Vijaypur constituency.
He urged the people to remain vigilant against the machinations of some parties whose main agenda is to polarize the situation and benefit from division in the society and frustrate their designs while maintaining communal harmony.
Slathia said that the developmental activities like construction of lanes and drains, installation of tubewells, black topping of roads, providing of electric poles, up-gradations of electric transformers, change of old electric wires, etc, were carried out in large scale in Vijaypur constituency during the last five and half years which the people of the area can see on the ground.
He expressed confidence that NC would emerge winner with full majority to form the next Government in the State to serve the people under the leadership of Omar Abdullah.
Among others Kuldip Raj, Boh Raj, Jarnail Singh, Ramesh Lal, Thakur Bhagwan Singh, Buti Ram, Panchs and Sarpanchs were also present on the occasion.
