NEW DELHI: Car maker Volkswagen today launched its much awaited Ameo, price starting at Rs 5.24 lakh.
The car is currently available with a 1.2L 3-cylinder MPI engine mated to 5-speed manual gear box. Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said, “We introduce our first ever made-for-India carline, Volkswagen Ameo.
The Ameo underlines our philosophy of offering the best of technology and safety standards packaged at an attractive price. Through the Ameo, we are confident of cementing Volkswagen’s strong presence in the compact sedan segment and further expand the Volkswagen India family.”
For Volkswagen, safety is of paramount importance and hence, Ameo comes with essential safety features, the company said in a statement. All variants will come equipped with dual front airbags and ABS as standard. (AGENCIES)
