VOK registers case against BDO

Srinagar, May 17: Vigilance Organization Kashmir has registered a case against Rural Development Department (RDD) in Qaimoh block of North Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Vigilance Organization Kashmir (VOK) registered a case (FIR No. 17/2018) against the BDO/officials of Block Development Office under Prevention of Corruption Act on the outcome of an enquiry pertaining to alleged corruption, misappropriation of funds, poor quality material used in the execution of various works and fictitious works under MGNREGA Scheme in Block Qaimoh Kulgam.
The officials have abused their official positions as public servants conferred undue benefit among such beneficiaries illegally with malafide intention.
A statement issued by the VOK reads: “…acts of BDO/officials of Block Development Office, Qaimoh discloses the commission of offences under Prevention of Corruption Act. A Case FIR No. 17/2018 is registered in P/S VOK and investigation is taken up”.
