Governor N N Vohra will inaugurate the 10th Jammu and Kashmir Science Congress at the University of Jammu on Saturday.
“The Chancellor of the University and Governor of J&K N N Vohra will inaugurate the 10th JK Science Congress at the University of Jammu on March 14”, Vice Chancellor of Jammu University told reporters here today.
He said that the varsity is all set to host the three-day event on the theme ‘Science and Technology for Inclusive Development: A way forward’ scheduled from March 14-16.’
The objective of organizing this Congress is to provide the platform for the budding researchers and scientists to interact, develop scientific temperament in the youth.
Disseminating information about the latest developments in Science and Technology and to look into the applications of Science and Technology at the grass root level, he said.
“People having done pioneer work in their respective fields have been invited to the Congress”, Sharma said.
The VC further said that 11 young scientist awards shall also be given in the various subjects.
Around 800 researchers from various institutions of the State and country are participating. The proceedings will cover diverse topics of current and future interest.
Prof K K Sharma, Organizing Secretary; Prof Rajni Dingra, Co-Organizing Secretary; Prof Manoj K Dhar, Registrar; Prof Vibhakar Mansotra, Convenor, Press & Publicity Committee were present on the occasion. (AGENCIES)
