Vodafone organizes ‘Health Walk’

JAMMU, Dec 3: Inspiring the residents of Jammu to lead a healthier lifestyle, Vodafone India, one of India’s leading telecommunications service providers, today, organised the third annual ‘Health Walk’ here at Comrade Dhanvantri Park, Railway Road.
The initiative saw active participation from the Jammu populace who came out in good numbers to be a part of this initiative.
Sharing his thoughts on the occasion, Pushpinder S Gujral, Business Head, Punjab, HP and J&K, Vodafone India, said, “For a third year running, the annual “Health Walk” by Vodafone has been supported by Jammu populace through strong participation. We are happy that this Health Walk has been successful in terms of sensitizing the populace of Jammu about the importance of healthy living”.
The third annual “Health Walk’ was organised by Vodafone with the objective of promoting the message and introducing the benefits of its robust “Health, Safety and Well-being” (HSW) policy amongst the residents of Jammu. The ‘Health Walk’ began at 05:00 pm at the Comrade Dhanvantri Park amidst a strong gathering of enthusiastic localities. The initiative started off with a light exercise and yoga session for which Vodafone had invited fitness and yoga experts at the venue to conduct the session. During this session, the participants were explained the benefits of regular physical exercise and yoga along with correct techniques for practicing the same.
The entire team of Vodafone officials, volunteers, doctors and the participants from Jammu’s populace proceeded for a walk inside the park. During the Health Walk, Vodafone volunteers were present along the track holding placards to promote the message of physical exercise, yoga and routine medical check-ups, thereby taking this health walk initiative a step further. The participants in the walk also promoted these messages among onlookers.
A health check-up session was also organized where professional doctors conducted a routine medical check and gave free consultation and fitness tips.
