VO challans Govt servants

JAMMU, Feb 6: In two separate cases, Vigilance Organization Jammu today produced challans in the court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Jammu, against the Revenue officials and a Police officer, who were booked for corrupt practices.
Challan in case FIR number 23/2011, P/S VOJ, was produced against Revenue officials, who were booked under Section 5 (1) (d) r/w 5 (2) J&K PC Act 2006 and Sections 167, 467, 468,471,420 and 120-B RPC for the allegations pertaining to fraudulent manipulation, tempering and destruction of Revenue record of Khasra No. 12 of village Hakkal, tehsil and District Jammu.
As per the case, accused  Riaz Ahmed, then  Patwari Halqa Hakkal,  during the year 2007,  in connivance with the beneficiaries namely Ravinder Singh, Romesh Chander and Rajesh Gopal,  sons of Late  Shiv Dhan Singh of  village Hakkal,  prepared fraudulent fard Intikhab which were illegally attested by  Naryan Singh,  the then Tehsildar Settlement Jammu with respect to  land measuring 22 kanal 19 marlas under Khasra No. 12 situated at village Hakkal, showing the possession and ownership of said land in the name of these beneficiaries in order to facilitate the sale of said land to different persons.
On the basis of said fraudulent fard intikhabs, the sale deeds were executed by the mentioned beneficiaries in favour of different vendees by concealing the facts from the court. The said sale deeds were thereafter mutated illegally on 16.07.2009 vide mutation No. 40/Jim to 45/Jim.
In the other case FIR No. 27/2015 P/S VOJ, challan was produced against SI Amar Chand,   then posted at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu, who was caught red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10 thousand from a driver namely Nek Ram of Jindrah, Jammu for handing over the documents of Maruti Van retained and seized by the said Police officer.
