RAJOURI, Oct 2: Vipan Mehta has been elected as president of Stone Crusher Union (SCU), district Rajouri.
He was elected unanimously by the members of the Union during its general body meeting held, here today. The meeting was attended by 28 members from Rajouri, Nowshera, Lamberi, Kalakote, Kotranka and other areas of the district. During the meeting, the members also discussed issues of the stone crusher owners.
Later, in the day, Vipan Mehta met BJP J&K president Ravinder Raina and apprised him of the problems being faced on day to day basis by the unit holders. Raina gave a patient hearing to Mehta and assured him to take up the matter with the appropriate authorities in the Government.
