UDHAMPUR, Jan 14: Aggrieved over extremely bad condition of Khudua to Sunari road, locals held a protest demonstration against R&B Department and immediate repair as well as black topping of the said road.
The protesting villagers said that due to worst condition and potholes on this 3- km road, which has not been repaired for the last 14 year, minibuses and buses avoid plying on the route with the result that school children and elderly have to reach their destinations on foot.
“Despite repeated requests to the district administration and PWD to repaired and improve the road condition, no action was taken because of callous attitude of the officers at the helm of affairs,” the villagers alleged and threatened to gherao the PWD authorities if the road is not immediately repaired.
